The National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement would like to invite you to participate in the following opportunities – and share them with colleagues who you think would like to get involved.
Engage Competition 2014
We have launched a UK completion to celebrate public engagement with research. The Engage competition is open for entries until 31st March 2014. We are looking to celebrate excellent practice in all kinds of domains – from small scale projects run by early career researchers and phD students, to larger and more ambitious projects. We are keen to see projects across the range of engagement activities from inspiring young people, to collaborative research projects. The overall winner will be offered £2,500 to develop or share their engagement work with others, and there will be a variety of other awards announced at a high profile ceremony at the Natural History Museum in June. We plan to select categories for these additional awards based on entries received, so we can celebrate the diversity of approaches to engagement and the diversity of types of project. Please tell others about this opportunity to celebrate some of the great engagement work happening across the UK.
Last chance to complete the NCCPE survey – tell us what you think!
We are currently undergoing an external evaluation of the NCCPE’s work, to inform our future direction. We have created a survey and would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to complete this. It will materially influence the shape and focus of the organisation in the future, and we would really like to hear your views. The survey can be accessed here http://www.plus4.co.uk/nccpe/ It takes around 30 minutes to complete, as we are keen to capture indepth and qualitative feedback to inform our decision making. The questionnaire closes on 9th March 2014.
